(English Abstract)
In general, embedded devices carry limited power sources such as batteries due to environmental or size restrictions. Deployment of such devices outdoors may be a solution based on solar energy to meet power supply challenges. However, the use of solar power is associated with unpredictable power supply depending on weather conditions and the time of the day, which affect the reliability and sustainability of services provided by embedded systems. In this paper, an energy management system and a scheme for the adjustment of adaptive execution rate are presented. The proposed energy management system is intended to guarantee uninterrupted service and the maximum execution rate of embedded systems despite fluctuations in power supply. The proposed scheme and system have been implemented on a real hardware. The proposed system facilitates the control of battery usage to prevent failure of the embedded system.
